Our first major project was themed "transportation" and had to combine line, shape and space into a cohesive design. I went beyond the typical vehicle idea and used Shuichi's legs and some of his shoes for my project. Shuichi is so 'bendy' in the legs (and all over - very floppy) so I propped him up, moved his legs exactly how I wanted and took leg ( Read more... )

A value piece. Start with a composition then change the mood by adjusting the value. Put them next to each other on the same canvas for comparision purposes.

Another line project - using some kind of hatching to shade with line. The same photo is used for the background and I drew connecting shapes so the eye moves across both like they're connected through line.
